Smart Renewables and Electrification Pathways Program (SREPs)

SREPs is a $4.5-billion program launched in 2021 supporting clean electricity infrastructure across Canada through repayable contributions. Three streams: Critical Regional Priorities (CRP), Utility Support Stream (USS — paused), and Indigenous-Led Clean Energy. Funding covers 10%, 30%, or up to 50% of eligible project costs depending on stream. Program runs until March 31, 2036.
