Accelerate California — Inclusive Innovation Hubs
Funds regional innovation hubs in California that pass resources to diverse-owned early businesses.
Accelerate California — Inclusive Innovation Hubs is a California program under the Office of the Small Business Advocate that uses a regional hub model to diversify the state's innovation economy. The program funds 13 Inclusive Innovation Hubs and pairs capital with business support. The state committed $16.5 million to the program. Each hub can provide innovation grants of up to $100,000 to diverse-owned innovation businesses, while also offering technical assistance, capital access, physical space, resource networks, and subject matter expert connections. Hub applications are not currently open in the 2025-26 cycle. The program is structured for organizations that can manage regional infrastructure and move money outward to businesses through a hub network. End businesses do not apply to the state directly; they come in through their local hub, which makes local delivery capacity the key advantage. That structure also lets the state spread support across regions without asking businesses to navigate Sacramento directly.
