EnergieSchweiz (SwissEnergy) — Project Funding

Funds soft-measure projects in energy efficiency and renewable energy across Switzerland.

EnergieSchweiz (SwissEnergy) is the Swiss federal government's voluntary-measures programme for energy efficiency and renewable energy, operated by SFOE/BFE under the Energy Act Art. 47. It co-finances third-party soft-measure projects — information campaigns, training, advisory services, planning aids, awareness initiatives, networking — but explicitly excludes hardware purchases such as buildings or vehicles. Any organisation or company can apply: associations, NGOs, companies, cantons, municipalities, universities, research institutions, and industry bodies are all eligible. Co-financing is up to 40% of total project costs; applicants must secure the remaining 60% from partners or third-party sources. Applications are accepted year-round via online portal with no fixed deadlines. Typical grants are around CHF 50,000, ranging from CHF 5,000 to CHF 400,000. A special 2026 component ('Temporäre Projekte 2026') targets municipalities with five defined topic areas.
