Innosuisse BRIDGE Proof of Concept
Supports Innosuisse BRIDGE Proof of Concept for early-stage researchers turning results into practical innovation pilots.
Innosuisse BRIDGE Proof of Concept sits under the joint BRIDGE umbrella run by the Swiss National Science Foundation and Innosuisse. It funds young researchers who want to turn research results into an application or service at the interface of basic research and science-based innovation. The 2026 calls ran on 1 June, 7 September, and 1 December 2026, with a 12-month project length and support capped at CHF 130,000 per year. Eligibility is narrow: the applicant applies as an individual, must be recently graduated or in doctoral training, and the home institution must back the project. The scheme is strongest where a research result can be translated into something usable without losing the technical discipline of the underlying work. Applications work best when the scope is tightly defined, the institutional support is clear, and the project can show a practical next step beyond the lab. The 2026 schedule also gives applicants a predictable annual rhythm around institutional calendars.
