SERI Leading House Pilot Activities
Funds seed grants and mobility awards for Swiss researchers building bilateral research partnerships.
Leading House Pilot Activities are small seed grants, mobility awards, and workshop/seminar funding operated by the five SERI-commissioned Leading House universities for 2025-2028. They target Swiss researchers exploring initial cooperation with partners in "promising regions": Latin America, MENA, sub-Saharan Africa, and parts of Asia not covered by the main bilateral joint research programme. Each Leading House defines its own call specifics, award amounts, and timelines. The programme is designed to build new bilateral relationships that could evolve into full joint research projects under the main bilateral programme. Award sizes are described as "small seed grants" — specific CHF amounts are not disclosed centrally by SERI.
