Navigating Transformative AI — AI Governance

The AI Governance RFP funds research, training, and general organizational support in six subject areas: technical AI governance (compute governance, model evaluations, cybersecurity for model weights), policy development, frontier company policy (voluntary or required practices), international AI governance, law (legal frameworks and liability), and strategic analysis and threat modeling. The RFP runs in periodic cycles. The most recent cycle closed January 25, 2026. Coefficient Giving has stated it is likely to open more AI governance RFPs in the future. Between RFPs, direct inquiries can be sent to aigovgrants@coefficientgiving.org. Typical first-time grants range from $200k–$2M per year over 1–2 years; renewals can scale higher.
