Advanced Innovation Challenges – Pilot
Pays deep-tech start-ups, SMEs and research organisations a €300,000 lump sum in Stage 1, then up to €2.5 million in Stage 2, to push high-risk breakthrough innovations that lack commercial uptake toward real-world, demand-tested deployment.

The pilot runs as a two-stage, stage-gated grant: Stage 1 funds up to nine months of feasibility and benchmarking work, and only Stage 1 winners may go on to apply for Stage 2, which funds up to two and a half years of real-world testing with users involved. All applicants also get EIC Business Acceleration Services -- coaching, mentoring, and access to partners and the wider innovation ecosystem.…
