In Phase 1, NIH's NICHD and partner institutes score proposals against team, solution, impact and innovation criteria; up to 8 winning organizations receive $25,000 and move into a 52-week Phase 2 implementation stage with NIH/NIDILRR technical assistance, a $7,500 interim prize, and up to three $75,000 grand prizes at the end.
