BAFA Energy Advisory Grants (EBW / EBN / EBM)
Supports Subsidised energy consulting for residential buildings and small businesses non residential buildings covering certified energy advisor costs.
BAFA's Energy Advisory Grants cover two related routes under BAFA's energy and economic-development remit. EBW supports residential building owners, while EBN and EBM cover SMEs and non-residential buildings that need subsidised energy consulting from a BAFA-listed expert. EBW subsidises 50% of net advisory costs, capped at €650 for one- or two-unit homes and €850 for larger buildings. The SME and non-residential route covers up to 80% of consulting costs, is handled through a BAFA-listed energy consultant, and is submitted in German through the BAFA portal before the advisory contract is signed. The programme is rolling and suits ordinary consulting assignments rather than competitive project rounds. The strongest applicants come with a clear building or operations problem, a qualified energy adviser, and a finished advisory brief that can turn into renovation or efficiency action. EBW is especially relevant where an individual renovation roadmap is needed, while EBN/EBM is better for businesses and building owners that want structured advice without a major capital project.
