Bayern Innovativ GmbHBavariaGrant

The Bavarian Transformation Fund is a non-repayable grant programme administered by Bayern Innovativ's Project Management Agency Bavaria for the Bavarian Transformation and Research Foundation. It uses about €350 million from the foundation's capital stock to help companies in Bavaria adapt their business models and strengthen competitiveness. It is built around three modules: TFT for technology promotion and R&D, TFO for process and organisational innovation, and TFK for circular-economy investment in chemical or biochemical plastic recycling and other innovative recycling plants. The programme is open to companies across Bavarian regions and sectors, but general investment promotion, especially for large companies, is excluded. Applications go through PTB at Bayern Innovativ, which advises applicants, accepts submissions, supports implementation and billing, while the foundation issues the funding notices. That split matters in practice: applicants work with PTB, but the approval authority sits with the foundation, and the eligibility terms follow the applicable state-aid guidelines.
