EDGE Grant Competition is Delaware's flagship small-business grant competition, run by the Delaware Division of Small Business. It is a twice-yearly pitch process with separate Entrepreneur and STEM tracks, and the Spring 2026 round was the thirteenth overall since launch. The current EDGE 2.0 pools are up to $400,000 for the Entrepreneur track and up to $750,000 for the STEM track, with awards scaled to pitch quality and split among category winners. Qualified applicants must be majority located in Delaware, have been in business fewer than seven years, have 15 or fewer full-time employees, hold less than $700,000 in assets, and contribute a 3:1 match. The programme favors businesses that can explain a clear need, a competitive advantage, viability, growth, and job creation in a live pitch setting. Eligible spending is expansion oriented rather than laboratory research, with uses such as market analysis, advertising, infrastructure work, essential equipment, website design, and rent support for lab space.
