PRIMARY Agricultural Bioeconomy Innovation Cascade

Supports Horizon cascade grants for agricultural upcycling consortia in Finland, Greece, and Estonia project.

Climate-KIC (Stichting Climate-KIC International Foundation)FinlandGreeceEstoniaGrant

PRIMARY Agricultural Bioeconomy Innovation Cascade is a Horizon Europe project administered by Climate-KIC that funds local upcycling work around underused agricultural feedstocks in Finland, Greece, and Estonia. The cascade pot is €900,000 and is designed to support a small set of pilot projects rather than an open-ended programme. Grants are capped at €100,000 for a two-partner consortium and €150,000 for a three-partner consortium. Eligible applicants include farmers, cooperatives, SMEs, start-ups, NGOs, universities, and public bodies, with consortia required and registration tied to Finland, Greece, or Estonia. The call is one-off, with applications due by 8 June 2026 and a final deadline of 17 June 2026. The best fit is a consortium that can turn residues such as grass, greenhouse byproducts, cotton residues, or olive prunings into a workable local business model. Proposals should read like a pilot plan with a clear reuse pathway, because the programme is aimed at practical agricultural valorisation rather than broad research.
