Applications are awarded first-come, first-served, so funds can run out early: a trademark or design voucher pays up to €700, a national patent voucher up to €1,000, a European patent voucher up to €2,500, and a plant-variety voucher up to €1,500. Applicants submit electronically to EUIPO, which typically decides within about 15 to 25 working days.
