BraveTech EU
Funds cross-border defense innovation partnerships between European and Ukrainian companies and institutions.
BraveTech EU is the EU-Ukraine defense innovation initiative inside Agence de l'innovation de défense's portfolio. It brings French applicants into a wider cross-border program that combines Ukrainian operational experience with European technology, with AID serving as the French entry point. The route uses grants and carries a maximum award of €1 million per project in Phase II. The total envelope is €100 million, split evenly between the European Union and a Ukrainian government match. Eligible geography in the extracted record covers the EU, Norway, and Ukraine, and the program is structured as a one-off call. Phase II is limited to companies in those geographies, which keeps the later stage tightly focused on marketable defense work. The strongest fit is for companies that can work across borders and move quickly from concept to fieldable defense application. Teams need a credible consortium story, a clear technical use case, and enough maturity to handle an international selection process in a program that is explicitly designed for joint industrial and operational value.
