Funds ANR JCJC Breakthrough for early ERC-track researchers, supporting translation of strong programmes into European grant-ready plans.

JCJC Breakthrough is an ANR programme designed to improve France's success rate in European Research Council calls. It sits inside ANR's 2026 work programme and is reserved for JCJC laureates who intend to apply to an upcoming ERC Starting, Consolidator or Advanced Grant. The programme offers up to EUR 75,000 in direct costs for 24 months. Applicants may apply from two years before the end of their ANR JCJC project until one year after it ends, and the selection is based on eligibility rather than a full scientific competition. The application package is a structured survey intended to help the applicant draft the future ERC proposal. This is a tight bridge mechanism rather than a broad grant line, so fit depends on the applicant already being in the JCJC track and preparing an ERC submission. The strongest candidates are researchers who can use the support to sharpen an ERC case while keeping their institutional administration aligned with the ANR process.

Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
