i-Démo Call — Support for Structuring R&D&I Projects (Appel à projets i-Démo)
Supports Large collaborative innovation development projects for French industrial competitiveness grant recoverable advance.
i-Démo is Bpifrance's France 2030 call for structured R&D and innovation projects that strengthen French industrial and service competitiveness. It targets products and services with high value creation, especially where the work supports energy, ecological, or digital transition themes. The call sits under Bpifrance but is financed as a state program. Support is a mixed package of grant and recoverable advance, with the grant share generally at 50%. The current call requires total eligible spend above 2 million euros for single-PME projects and above 4 million euros for collaborative projects, and collaborative proposals can include up to six partners. A PME can lead alone; ETIs and large companies cannot carry an individual proposal. Relay dates are staged across the year, and European-linked projects can also fit where the call rules allow. This route favors industrial teams that can show scale, partners, and a credible path to market rather than isolated research. The best cases are projects with a defined strategic market, a strong French industrial base, and enough technical and partnership maturity to justify a large multi-year effort.
Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
