BpifranceFranceGrant

Concours d'innovation i-Lab is the French State's technology-startup competition, operated by Bpifrance under France 2030. The 28th edition runs from 25 November 2025 to 3 February 2026 and is meant to identify projects that can become innovative technology companies. The award is a grant of up to 600k EUR, against eligible costs capped at 1 million EUR. Eligible applicants are either natural persons planning to create a technology company in France, regardless of nationality, or companies incorporated less than two years ago. Applications go through the Picxel platform, and the program is open in French. Selection weighs technical innovation, proof of concept, economic viability, international growth potential, founder motivation and capacity, IP control, and environmental and social impact. The strongest projects are those with a credible company-creation path, enough technical substance to survive diligence, and a founding team ready to carry the work into market formation. It sits at the startup-creation end of the i-series ecosystem and is geared to first-company formation rather than scale-up.
