This Research and Innovation Action is built around cascading funding: at least 70% of the requested EU contribution must be re-granted as Financial Support to Third Parties, capped at EUR 250,000 per authority, so regions and local authorities can develop their own Action Plans. A single grant worth EUR 25 million funds the lead consortium that designs the framework and runs the cascade calls.
