Testing and demonstrating innovative solutions to improve resilience to extreme heat, including addressing health impacts

Funds consortia to test and demonstrate extreme-heat resilience measures for buildings, public spaces and emergency services in at least three regional or local authorities.

This is an Innovation Action funding real-world testing rather than early research, paid as a lump sum. Three grants are expected from a combined EUR 30 million budget, each worth up to EUR 10 million, and projects are expected to run for a fixed duration embedding the work into each authority's own adaptation planning.
