Supports New all-disciplines investigator flagship for curiosity-driven and applied research AHSS and STEM panels.

The Investigators Programme is Research Ireland's new all-disciplines investigator flagship, framed as a restructured successor to the legacy SFI Investigators grant. It funds both curiosity-driven and applied research across AHSS (Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences) and STEM panels, up to €625,000 direct costs over 4 years. The 2025/26 cycle ran a two-stage process: Expression of Interest (EoI) deadline 17 September 2025, followed by Full Proposal deadline 28 May 2026. The cycle is now closed; the next cycle (2027 onwards) has not been announced as of the research date.
