Funds joint U.S.-India technology innovation initiatives that are commercially viable and socially relevant through competitive grants.
The U.S.-India Science and Technology Endowment Fund (USISTEF) Competitive Grants Program selects and supports joint U.S.-India technology innovation and entrepreneurial initiatives that are commercially viable and socially relevant. The program is administered jointly by CSIR (India) and the Indo-U.S. Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF), and issues calls for proposals in specific technology areas. Each call funds one or more joint projects between U.S. and Indian entities at up to INR 15 million (approximately USD 165,000) per project for 24 months of applied R&D with a clear commercial pathway.
