The grant is paid in milestone-based tranches over a 6-month tenure, for uses such as product development, in-house testing, regulatory approvals, and field trials. It is run by the Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE) at IIT Bombay under Excelium Technologies' CSR grant, with a two-stage review by SINE staff and a selection committee.
