Technology Incubation and Development of Entrepreneurs

Technology Incubation and Development of Entrepreneurs 2.0 sits under MeitY Startup Hub as the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology's flagship incubation scheme. It funds 51 empanelled incubators across India, which in turn support ICT startups in seven pre-identified areas of societal relevance. The scheme has two tracks at the centre level: an Entrepreneur-in-Residence route for individuals or teams with an ICT-enabled idea, and a proof-of-concept grant route for registered startups with working proof of concept. Support reaches up to about INR 7 lakh at the startup level, the programme runs through incubators on a rolling basis, and the application materials are available in English and Hindi. Founders do not apply directly to MeitY; they apply through an empanelled incubation centre, where fit and execution matter more than a generic startup pitch. TIDE 2.0 is strongest for teams that need early capital, mentorship, and access to incubator infrastructure to get an ICT product moving.
