Bando Valore per il Territorio

Bando Valore per il Territorio is Fondazione CDP's university-facing call for projects that generate concrete social impact in Italy. It was introduced for Cassa Depositi e Prestiti's 175th anniversary and combines departmental research support with prizes for doctoral and master's theses. The call awards up to three grants of €150,000 each to university departments, along with three €10,000 prizes for doctoral theses and four €5,000 prizes for master's theses. Eligible applicants include Italian university researchers, PhD holders or candidates, and master's graduates or graduating students who meet the stated age and grade thresholds. The call is structured around a single application window and requires one submission per department or school for the research track. The four themes are circular economy and sustainability, technological and digital innovation, employability and social inclusion, and regeneration of peripheral areas. The selection model also keeps a territorial balance across North, Centre, and South Italy, so the clearest proposals are those with a concrete social effect, a well-defined university base, and a local benefit that can be described plainly.
