Korea TIPS (revamped)
Runs private investor matching grants for Korean early-stage technology startups through the Korea TIPS.
Korea TIPS 2026 is the flagship public-private startup support program under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, administered by KISED. It pairs accredited private TIPS operators with government matching support so that promising startups receive private capital first and public R&D backing second. The general track is structured around a private investment of KRW 100 million to KRW 200 million, followed by government support of up to KRW 800 million for R&D, with additional commercialization and overseas marketing support described in the program materials. It is an annual grant route for for-profit companies only, limited to startups established within seven years that already have domestic or international private investor backing. The current expansion targets 800 startup-stage projects and runs through the K-Startup application portal. The program suits founders who can already persuade an accredited TIPS operator and want a larger, policy-backed research budget rather than a first-check seed round. Its 2026 design also gives structural priority to startups outside the capital region, so applicants with regional operations can benefit from a lower private-investment threshold and a clearer path through the competition.
Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
