Korea Deep-Tech TIPS Follow-up Support
Offers Additional innovation grant for TIPS graduates in AI semiconductors through the Korea Deep Tech TIPS Follow-up Support.
Korea Deep-Tech TIPS Follow-up Support is the post-graduation R&D route within the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' TIPS ladder, administered by KISED. It exists for companies that have already completed the General Track and need another research cycle in technically demanding fields. The program offers up to KRW 1.5 billion over three years, with a focus on AI, semiconductors, robotics, and biotech. It is an annual grant route for for-profit companies, and the eligibility window is narrower than the general track because applicants must already be TIPS graduates and sit around TRL 4 to TRL 7. The program also sits alongside Post-TIPS, which is the commercialization-oriented follow-on, so the applicant has to choose the route that matches the next stage of work. The strongest applications are those that can show the first phase was real, but not yet complete. Teams with a credible technical roadmap, a concrete milestone plan, and a reason to keep funding advanced research tend to fit best, especially when the next step is still pre-scale but no longer early discovery.
Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
