MMRF Scholars Program
Funds early career myeloma researchers globally with long duration research awards.
The MMRF Scholars Program is the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation's flagship career-development award for early-stage myeloma researchers. It provides up to $400,000 over four years, or $100,000 a year including 10% indirect costs, to postdoctoral researchers, clinical fellows, and junior faculty working at institutions worldwide. Projects may cover clinical, translational, or basic science questions in multiple myeloma. The program is open to university-based and research-organisation applicants, and the foundation strongly encourages Black and African American researchers to apply. The 2026 cycle was issued on 2026-04-06, closes on 2026-06-30, and notifies applicants on 2026-08-14. The review bar also favors cost-conscious or population-specific ideas, and applicants are expected to be PhD or MD level, or close to completion of a PhD, with rank no higher than assistant professor. This award suits researchers who already have a defined myeloma question and institutional backing for a longer run. The best fit combines technical depth with a clear line to patient impact, especially where the work can speak to access, representation, or disparities in the disease.
