Eco Solar Credit (Eco Crédito Solar)

Eco Crédito Solar is a lending product under Nacional Financiera (NAFIN) for business solar photovoltaic installations. The program offers loans of up to MXN 15,000,000 at up to 16% fixed annual rate over terms up to 96 months (eight years), with a narrow focus on photovoltaic deployment rather than broad corporate credit. The product is open to for-profit businesses that are registered and operating in Mexico and is delivered through a lending pathway, which classifies it as debt rather than a non-dilutive grant mechanism. The route is typically handled through standard credit submission steps and project review by the lender, with repayment viability central to underwriting. Applicants have the best outcome when they can demonstrate a clear installation plan, measurable electricity-use rationale, and capacity to service long-tenor debt. The program is not suited to nonprofits, universities, research organizations, or individual applicants.
