Eco Sustainable Credit (Eco Crédito Sustentable)

Funds efficiency and clean-technology equipment purchases with subsidized energy audits for Mexican commercial businesses.

Nacional FinancieraMexicoLoan

Eco Crédito Sustentable is Nacional Financiera's efficiency and clean-technology financing route for Mexican businesses with commercial electricity contracts. It funds the purchase and installation of high-efficiency equipment and renewable technologies, and it pairs that loan with a separate diagnostic benefit: the energy audit can be subsidized for up to 100% of its cost. The credit itself reaches MXN 15,000,000, runs for up to eight years, and carries a fixed annual rate of up to 16%. The eligibility profile is geared to operating companies rather than early-stage ventures. Applicants must be legally constituted, SAT-registered businesses in Mexico with at least one year of operations and a qualifying CFE commercial tariff such as PDBT, GDBT, GDMTO, or GDMTH. The financed equipment can include refrigeration, air conditioning, efficient lighting, electric motors, solar thermal heaters, photovoltaic systems, and other efficiency upgrades that reduce electricity use in a commercial setting. The program fits businesses that can start from an energy audit and move into a financeable retrofit plan. The audit subsidy lowers the entry cost, but the core structure remains debt, so applicants still need repayment capacity and a practical installation plan. Companies that already see their utility spend clearly and can translate that into measurable savings are the ones most likely to benefit from the program's design.
