Financiamiento Empresarial

Backs Mexican micro, small, and medium enterprises with bank credit for working capital and assets.

Nacional FinancieraMexicoLoan

Financiamiento Empresarial sits under Nacional Financiera (NAFIN) and gives Mexican micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises access to bank credit backed by the development bank. The program is built for firms in industry, commerce, and services, with working capital and fixed assets as the main uses. It reaches up to MXN 20,000,000 and is available through a network of 17 commercial banks, including BBVA, Banorte, HSBC, Citibanamex, and Scotiabank. The credit is priced by the participating bank and the purpose of the loan, with terms of up to five years. Eligibility is anchored in formal business activity: applicants may be companies or individuals with business activity, but they need at least two years of operations, a positive credit history, and cash flow that can support debt service. Documentation is submitted through the chosen bank, which also carries out the credit review and formalization. The strongest fit is a Mexican business that already operates at scale enough to clear ordinary bank underwriting and wants a guaranteed debt route rather than public grant funding. Firms with clean financial statements, documented turnover, and a clear use of proceeds tend to be better positioned than applicants still assembling their books or commercial structure. The rolling bank-led process rewards borrowers that can move quickly with complete documentation and a straightforward repayment case.
