Plan México
Provides bank credit for pharmaceutical, textile, chemical, and consumer-goods manufacturers in Mexico.
Plan México is Nacional Financiera's credit route for MIPYMEs working in sectors tied to Mexico's industrial policy agenda. The program targets pharmaceutical and medical-device companies, textile and footwear businesses, chemical and petrochemical firms, and consumer-goods manufacturers. It gives those firms access to simple bank credit through NAFIN's financing channels, with loan sizes reaching MXN 20,000,000. The credit is offered on a rolling basis and can run for as long as 84 months. Applicants need to be registered and operating in Mexico, and the route is open to for-profit businesses rather than nonprofits, universities, or research organizations. The structured eligibility profile points to Spanish-language documentation and sector-specific use, which keeps the program tightly focused on industrial borrowers rather than general-purpose SME finance. Plan México is best suited to established firms that sit inside one of the priority sectors and can tie the requested capital to expansion, equipment, or operating needs that a bank can underwrite. Its appeal is the combination of size, tenor, and policy alignment: applicants are not being asked to pitch a research case, but to show that they are a viable Mexican business in a named strategic industry with a clear commercial need for debt.
