In Phase 1, teams submit a short proposal and a 2-minute video; up to 8 finalist teams are announced in March 2027 and each receive a $9,000 prize paid to their university. In Phase 2, finalist teams develop a final paper and infographic and present in person at the GBS Forum in May 2027, where eligible members of the 1st-place team win NASA OSTEM internship opportunities.
