InternNE Grant Program

Supports Nebraska employers by reimbursing part of internship expenses for student placements.

Nebraska Department of Economic DevelopmentNebraskaGrant

InternNE is Nebraska's internship reimbursement program and sits under the Nebraska Department of Economic Development. It helps employers offset the cost of hiring student interns by reimbursing half of eligible internship expenses, up to $7,500 per internship. Eligible interns include high school juniors and seniors, college and university students, certified training enrollees, and recent graduates within 12 months of graduation. Employers with fewer than 150 full-time employees can seek reimbursement for wages and other expenses, while larger employers may claim tuition, housing, transportation, and related costs but not wages. The program runs on a rolling basis and is state-funded. That makes InternNE a straightforward fit for Nebraska employers that want to build a talent pipeline and reduce the cost of supervised work-based learning. The strongest applications are those where the internship is tightly connected to a real role, a real supervisor, and a clear path for the student into the business or the sector.

Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
