InternNE Grant Program

InternNE is Nebraska's internship reimbursement program and sits under the Nebraska Department of Economic Development. It helps employers offset the cost of hiring student interns by reimbursing half of eligible internship expenses, up to $7,500 per internship. Eligible interns include high school juniors and seniors, college and university students, certified training enrollees, and recent graduates within 12 months of graduation. Employers with fewer than 150 full-time employees can seek reimbursement for wages and other expenses, while larger employers may claim tuition, housing, transportation, and related costs but not wages. The program runs on a rolling basis and is state-funded.
