HRC Pacific Projects
Funds Pacific-focused research in New Zealand with investigator leadership and community outcome priorities.
HRC Pacific Projects is a Health Research Council of New Zealand program line for contestable, researcher-led project ideas focused on meaningful gains in Pacific health outcomes. The program requires that proposals include Pacific peoples as researchers, advisors, stakeholders, and participants and align with Pacific cultural values and ethics. The line is governed by the Pacific Health Research Committee and follows the standard HRC Projects cadence. For the 2026 round, expressions of interest were scheduled from 14 August to 17 September 2025, with full applications opening 6 November and closing 11 December 2025. This track is run as part of annual HRC funding rounds, and the public materials do not publish a separate Pacific-only award cap. Teams with demonstrated Pacific leadership in design and execution are most aligned to the route.
Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
