Up to 25 selected teams complete a customer discovery sprint paired with an assigned Ocean Ecosystem Navigator, after attending prep workshops on design thinking and customer discovery. Applications were reviewed on a rolling basis as they arrived, and the funding is released in stages as teams hit milestones agreed at the start of the program, rather than paid upfront.
