Lead Exposure Action Fund (LEAF)

Runs Lead Exposure Action Fund to support accelerating progress toward lead-free world measurement mitigation mainstreaming lmics.

The Lead Exposure Action Fund (LEAF) is a pooled philanthropic vehicle launched in 2024 with $125M committed from 12 partners (including Gates Foundation, Good Ventures, ELMA Foundation, and others). It has deployed $60M+ across 44 grants, focused exclusively on low- and middle-income countries. LEAF operates across three pillars: measurement (blood lead testing, household assessments, source screening of spices/paint/cosmetics), mitigation (policy + technical interventions on turmeric, battery recycling), and mainstreaming (elevating lead as a priority for governments, aid agencies, and philanthropies). There is no published open RFP — grants are primarily proactively sourced. Contact for donor partnership: partnerwithus@coefficientgiving.org.
