MINIATURA
Supports focused one-off scientific actions in Poland through micro-grants for pilots, tests, and travel.
MINIATURA is NCN's micro-grant route for a single scientific action, such as a pilot study, a research visit, a foreign consultation, a preliminary query, or conference attendance. It sits under the National Science Centre in Poland and is designed for small, focused steps rather than full projects. The current MINIATURA 10 call has a total budget of 20,000,000 PLN. Awards run from 5,000 to 50,000 PLN and last up to 12 months. The principal researcher must hold a PhD awarded on or after 1 January 2014, have at least one published work or artistic achievement, and work full time at the applicant institution. The route is open on a rolling basis from February through July, and current NCN project leaders plus former ETIUDA, FUGA, or UWERTURA laureates are excluded. MINIATURA is best viewed as a small, practical support line for evidence gathering, not a substitute for a larger grant. It helps researchers test an idea, sharpen a method, or make a targeted visit that can unlock a later application. Applicants that can describe one concrete action and justify its immediate research value are the best fit.
Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
