CTI Network — Centros de Interface / Mission Interface
Funds Portuguese technology and innovation centres through mission programmes and shared services for industry-linked research.
CTI Network — Centros de Interface / Mission Interface is ANI's core funding route for recognised Portuguese Technology and Innovation Centres. It sits inside the PRR Recovery and Resilience Plan and provides €80 million for CTI core funding, with support running until 2026 for internal and external activities that build national innovation capacity. Eligibility is restricted to entities recognised as CTIs under Decree-Law 126-B/2021. The route opened in two steps: recognition first, then an expression of interest for core funding. The first evaluation in February 2022 approved 31 entities from 37 applications, and the expression-of-interest window closed on 7 November 2022. This is not a live open call for new entrants. It is a managed funding line for centres that already cleared recognition and were admitted into the network. The best fit is a Portuguese technology or innovation centre with a formal CTI designation and a role in building innovation services around its surrounding ecosystem.
