Energimyndigheten Energiforskning
Funds Energymyndigheten Energiforskning by supporting Swedish energy studies across renewables, grid modernization, hydrogen, nuclear, and efficiency.
Energimyndigheten Energiforskning is the Swedish Energy Agency's research portfolio for energy R&D. The portfolio spans renewables, nuclear power research, smart grids, hydrogen, energy efficiency, batteries, energy systems in society, transport electrification, and competence centres. The program is a grant route with awards from SEK 47,000 to SEK 940,000 and an annual cycle. It is described as a roughly SEK 1.4 billion annual portfolio, and the eligible audience is Sweden-based and consortium-oriented, with companies, non-profits, and research organisations able to participate and individuals excluded. The fit is strongest for collaborative research teams that need a public funding channel for technical work rather than a commercial growth instrument. Projects read best when they sit inside a wider energy system question and can show why the research matters beyond a single product or laboratory result. The broader call stream also includes pilot and demo work, doctoral research schools, and other energy-system collaborations. It also suits work that needs steady support across several partners and programme cycles.
