Advanced-Level Education (Utbildning på avancerad nivå)

Funds Funding for new or extended master's-level education programs developed with external partners.

Avans, now called Utbildning på avancerad nivå, funds the creation or expansion of master's-level education at KK-stiftelsen target institutions with master's accreditation. It replaced the former Avans structure in 2025 and is designed around external collaboration rather than standalone curriculum work. The program has two tracks. Avans Mini offers up to 500,000 SEK for up to 1 year and requires at least two independent external parties. Avans Maxi offers up to 2 million SEK for up to 3 years and requires at least five independent external parties. The 2026 call opens on September 10 and closes on November 16. Strong proposals are built around a course or program need that outside partners can help shape, deliver, or validate. The smaller track suits a targeted addition, while the larger track supports more substantial development with a wider partner set. Applications fit best when the institution can show why the new education route matters for industry relevance, student demand, and longer-term capacity.
