European Regional Development Fund (Regionalfonden)
Funds innovation, digitalisation, and green transition across Sweden's eight regions.
Tillväxtverket is the Managing Authority for nine ERDF operational programmes (8 regional, 1 national) under the 2021–2027 EU cohesion policy period. Total ERDF allocation is SEK 8 billion, with 60% co-financing required from other sources. Eligible applicants include legal persons — regions, municipalities, authorities, universities, industry organisations, and research institutes. Funding targets four EU policy objectives: smarter Europe (innovation, digitalisation, economic transition), greener Europe (Paris Agreement, renewable energy), more connected Europe (sustainable transport), and social cohesion. Calls are issued at the level of individual regional and national programmes; applicants must match the relevant programme's geographic and thematic focus.
Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
