Just Transition Fund (Fonden för en rättvis omställning)

The Just Transition Fund supports industrial transformation in Sweden's three most carbon-intensive regions: steel industry in Norrbotten, metals industry in Västerbotten, and mineral industry on Gotland. The fund runs from 2021–2030 with a budget of approximately EUR 156 million plus 50% national co-financing, aligned with EU 2030 climate targets and 2050 climate neutrality goals. Eligible project types include climate-smart and resource-efficient technology, employee skills development and competency enhancement, and infrastructure supporting carbon-neutral industrial transition.
