Green Economy Regulatory Initiative (GERI)
Supports the GERI is a whole-of-Government initiative to accelerate innovation in Singapore's green economy.
GERI is a whole-of-Government initiative to accelerate innovation in Singapore's green economy. It provides a unified intake gateway connecting applicants to the regulatory sandbox programmes of multiple agencies (EMA, HDB Cool Ideas Enterprise, NEA, PUB) across 8 trial areas: carbon services and trading, circular economy, CO2 to aggregates, electric vehicles, energy (solar/storage/smart grid), hydrogen, sustainable aviation and maritime, and sustainable tourism. This is NOT a cash grant. GERI provides regulatory facilitation: a one-stop platform, provisional agency feedback within 30 days, sandbox scoping within 4–6 months, and a time-limited trial with review before scaling. Applicants must demonstrate green-economy alignment, measurable decarbonisation or resource-optimisation outcomes, a regulatory challenge, and demonstrable economic benefits for Singapore.
