NRF Fellowship (NRFF)
Funds independent early-career research projects in Singapore through a dedicated fellowship programme with strong institutional support.
The NRF Fellowship provides five years of independent research funding for outstanding early-career scientists and researchers of all nationalities who will carry out their work in Singapore. The grant covers personnel, equipment, and consumables costs for projects with high likelihood of a research breakthrough. Applications open once per year. Selection is a three-stage process: longlisting by host institutions, shortlisting by NRF, and final interviews with the NRF Fellowship Evaluation Panel. Applicants apply via the IGMS portal at researchgrant.gov.sg. Host institutions include Singapore's autonomous universities and Research Centres of Excellence.
