TechCrunch Disrupt Startup Battlefield

Administers equity-free prize for the top early-stage startup at TechCrunch Disrupt through the TechCrunch Disrupt Startup Battlefield.

TechCrunchUnited StatesPrize

Startup Battlefield is TechCrunch's flagship pitch competition, operating for over 15 years. Approximately 200 standout early-stage startups are selected annually to compete at TechCrunch Disrupt. The grand-prize winner receives a $100K equity-free cash prize, explicitly described by TechCrunch as non-dilutive — no equity surrendered. The competition is both an editorial showcase and investor pipeline: finalists gain direct access to thousands of VCs at Disrupt, pitch training, masterclass sessions, and TechCrunch media exposure. Notable alumni include Dropbox, Trello, Cloudflare, and Discord. TechCrunch's role is organiser/convener; the prize is historically funded by Disrupt event sponsorships, not from TechCrunch's own balance sheet. Disrupt 2026 is scheduled October 13–15 in San Francisco.

Each grant below is a distinct funding opportunity with its own eligibility, scope, and deliverables.
