The Audacious Project selects approximately 10 organizations per year to receive large, multi-year philanthropic commitments mobilized from a consortium of 60+ major donors. The process begins with a year-round rolling survey intake; a small number of submitters are invited to develop full proposals with support from TED and The Bridgespan Group. Funding decisions are made by the donor consortium, not TED directly. Eligible ideas must address urgent global challenges in health, climate, social justice, education, or science. Applicants must represent a nonprofit, NGO, institution, or multi-entity collaboration with an annual operating budget of at least $2 million. Grant amounts are not publicly disclosed and vary widely per project. The 2025 cohort of 10 organizations covered climate, technology, healthcare, social safety nets, and breakthrough science.
