Offers Innovation Grant, cross-industry matching grants for Thai small and medium-sized enterprises and startups in high-potential innovation projects.
The Open Innovation Grant is NIA's broad-access matching grant for Thai SMEs and startups working across any industry. It funds design, engineering, prototype, and pilot-stage work, covering up to 75% of project costs with a ceiling of ฿1,500,000 per project. Applications run year-round through 2–3 discrete rounds per fiscal year. The program sits under the Regional Innovation Business Platform and is supported by regional NIA staff and partner institutions across Central, Northern, Northeastern, and Southern Thailand. It is the widest-eligibility grant NIA operates — no sector restriction beyond the general Thai-registration and 51% Thai ownership requirements.
