Berkeley SkyDeck Accelerator (Main Cohort)

The Berkeley SkyDeck Accelerator runs two cohorts per year (January and July application windows), each lasting 6 months. Between 20 and 25 startups are selected per cohort and receive a $210,000 equity investment from the Berkeley SkyDeck Fund (7.5% equity; structured as SAFE or alternative formats). A $7,500 program fee is charged per startup. Selected companies receive a 6-month BAM Program (leadership, product, fundraising, BD, ops, marketing), weekly events, dedicated workspace at the SkyDeck penthouse, Lead Advisor matching from a 900+ advisor network, Demo Day (600+ attendees), and alumni customer introductions. The Fund may also invest up to 10% of a startup's first institutional round at matching terms. Specialized vertical tracks (Bio+Health, Chip, Air & Space, FinTech, Climate) operate within the same cohort structure and offer $200K equity with domain-specific resources.
