Joint AHRC+EPSRC+SSHRC (Canada) sandpit programme developing evaluation frameworks, benchmarks, and training approaches that apply humanities methodologies to AI design pipelines. Invite-only, following a February 2026 Montreal workshop. Total fund £1.16M (£780k UK + CAD $1M Canada). UK awards up to £156,250 FEC per project (80% funded); Canadian awards up to CAD $200,000. Projects run 18 months (by 30 April 2028). US team members funded via UK or Canadian budgets.
