Creative Industries Clusters Programme
Runs Creative Industries Clusters Programme, aHRC's flagship innovation work cluster programme connecting United Kingdom universities with creative industry partners to drive.
The Creative Industries Clusters Programme, launched by AHRC in 2018 with £56 million, creates partnerships between higher education institutions and creative industry businesses to drive applied R&D, new jobs, and globally competitive products and experiences. Round one (2018–2023) funded nine clusters across the UK. Round two (£27 million) had its outline stage close on 3 March 2026 and is currently between cycles. AHRC has committed £100 million additional investment for 2026–2030, with up to £6.75 million per application at 80% FEC. The programme prioritises new UK geographies and creative sub-sectors not covered in round one.
